5052 aluminum plate is primarily alloyed with magnesium and chromium. It has good workability, medium static strength, high fatigue strength, good weldability, and very good corrosion resistance, especially in marine atmospheres. It also has the low density and excellent thermal conductivity, used for aircraft fuel tanks, storm shutters, refrigerator liners and panels, etc.
5052 h32 spec includes thicknesses .040″-.500″.
Please note, at 3/4 ” & 1″ thickness the spec is 5052 H112
2024 aluminum plate is made of an aluminum-copper alloy, with high strength-to-weight ratio. 2024 plate has several applications including truck and aircraft wheels, truck suspension parts, and is useful in aircraft fuselage components. 2024 Aluminum Plate does have limited weldability, however 2024 Aluminum plate is less corrosion resistant than other alloys.

7075 aluminum plate is made of one of the strongest of the aluminum alloys. Its use parallels that of 2024, with 7075 selected when higher mechanical properties are desired. 7075 aluminum is an aluminum-zinc alloy with 1%-8% zinc in addition to small amounts of magnesium and small quantities of copper and chromium. This alloy is precipitation hardened to very high strength levels. Alloy 7075 is used in airframe structures and other highly stressed components.
